PROFILE

For the last sixteen years Angela Mulvie has run her own HR consultancy practice in the UK, specialising in performance management, executive coaching and learning, and assessment and development of senior managers. Angela has worked with clients in both large corporate companies and SMEs, as well as in the public and not-for-profit sectors. Her early career was in personnel and training management, followed by appointments in higher education, teaching and researching in human resource management.

In her consultancy role she has worked on strategic HR, the development of performance management systems (including competency frameworks and quality improvements through people development), and the design and delivery of senior management training. She has international experience having lived and worked between the UK and South East Asia where she has undertaken a range of projects on senior manager development, Train the Trainer, graduate recruitment, and Investors in People. She is currently based in Bahrain in the Middle East.

Angela is a regular contributor to RBI’s XpertHelp, an on-line advisory service for HR professionals, and also writes for Croner Publications, and CCH Asia People Strategist. She has co-authored a book of HRM case studies.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and an approved Investors in People Assessor. A social science graduate from Strathclyde University, and also holding a masters degree, she is currently working on a research degree on Executive Coaching with the University of Lancaster Management School.
